R’new Consulting Services offers the opportunity to blend bespoke steam infused botanical gin.
Picture a gin distillery with seven pregnant alembic copper stills, the shelves bursting with bottles of botanicals, green and brown bottles on the walls, labelled with the essences of buchu, lemongrass, coriander, cassia bark, orange blossom, to name but a few of the options available in a flavour library. Imagine filling muslin bags with crushed herbs, spices, flowers, leaves or roots to place in the neck of these stills, lighting the fire under the onion shaped chamber to slowly infuse steam with molecular tastes, fragrances and the artist’s mix of magnificent flavours. Experimenting in the realm of alchemic distilling, you create your very own fusion of flavours into a gin to satisfy your tastes, and you leave, your bottle of gin tucked beneath your arms.
R’new offers patrons an escape from the city into the haven of an outdoor Chartres Labyrinth, comfortable lounges with fireplaces, slow walks along the water’s edge, solitary secret spots from which to fish, mountain bike trails for the more adventurous, or fireside stories in the boma under the watch of Orion.
The Conference Centre houses learning and development facilities for 50 – 100 delegates, with views of the water and labyrinth.
Twelve suites with bathrooms ensuite are on offer for executive teams, along with the on-site chef, the tasting room with a thirty-seater boardroom table – six course gin-pairing meals are an option for the more discerning.
