Our extraordinary venue, set in a game farm, on the banks of the picturesque Vaal dam, boasts one of South Africa’s, largest of its kind, botanical Chartres-style Labyrinth and 350-year-old Khoisan stone circles. Duiker and blesbok roam free between the Pecan trees in the orchard.

R’new is a tranquil, first-class sanctuary. Conveniently just an hour and half from the bustling city of Johannesburg. Offering luxurious accommodation in three separate venues spaced along the waters edge. Each with its own distinct character, beautiful murals and details, carefully curated to ensure our guests’ comfort and pleasure. Our Labyrinth

Our enchanting Chartres-style labyrinth is a major attraction for every guest who visits R’new.

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that represents wholeness and is a metaphor for life’s journey.

The labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral in France dates back to 1205, when monks used it for prayer and meditation. It is one of the world’s best-known labyrinths. Our R’new labyrinth follows the same mesmerising design.

Our labyrinth is a feast of fragrances and colours, featuring rows of thyme, oregano, catmint, lavender, rosemary, echinacea, fennel and many other herbs, as well as rose bushes and grape vines. Fruit trees line the labyrinth border. It has been proven that walking a labyrinth calms one’s nerves.

The labyrinth is open to day visitors on the last Sunday of every month.

WELLNESS CENTRE

The R’new Wellness Centre offers guests a range of sublime treatments upon request. In between pamper sessions, you can relax in the indoor pool overlooking the labyrinth, take in the view while lounging on a day bed, or enjoy the serenity of the private tranquility room. There is also hydro-therapy spa bath and separate steam shower.
